Whether you got a bit too overzealous at the strawberry patch or simply love this sweet fruit, my collection of strawberry recipes is perfect for anytime you find yourself with a surplus! I’m sharing lots of options so you can find your favorite.

20+ Strawberry Recipes for Summer
Strawberry season is one of my favorites–there’s simply nothing quite like a sun-ripened strawberry plucked straight off the plant. Unfortunately, I tend to go overboard at my local strawberry patch every year, so I’m typically up to my eyeballs in berries! Lucky for you, that’s how most of my strawberry recipes came to be.
It’s hard to choose a favorite, but if I had to pick just one of my strawberry recipes for you to try, it would be my strawberry shortcake cake (hence it being my #1 recipe!). Not only is this cake beautiful, but it also strikes the perfect balance between refreshing and indulgent. It tastes the best with ripe, summer berries and highlights them beautifully without ever overshadowing them. This recipe also uses quite a few berries, which is perfect for those particularly excited berry pickers, like me!

Frequently Asked Questions
It really depends on the recipe. Some of my strawberry recipes allow for frozen berries to be used instead of fresh (like my strawberry cheesecake), but others (like my strawberry tart) will not.
Typically, recipes where the berries are being cooked will be fine to use frozen, but there are some exceptions to this. I usually specify which option is best in each of my recipes.
Ripe, summer strawberries are always best, as those have the most flavor. Frozen berries are usually your best bet when the fresh version isn’t in season. You can try making any of my strawberry recipes with out of season berries, but your results will vary.
Of the recipes listed above, my Eton mess, cheesecake stuffed strawberries, strawberry pretzel salad and strawberry shortcake cake use the most berries (2 pounds each).
If you have a lot of extra berries on hand, then you can always freeze them. It’s easiest to freeze them on a baking sheet first before putting them in an freezer container, as this prevents them from sticking together.
