Stuck in a recipe rut? These fun new brunch recipes will spice up your brunch game in no time! Today’s list includes everything from quiche and crepes to monkey bread and pancakes.
25 Must-Try Brunch Recipes
While some mornings breakfast can be as simple as heating up strawberry pop tarts or unwrapping a muffin, brunch mornings are for going the extra mile. Around here, we love serving fun favorites like coffee cakes, breakfast casseroles, special breads and fancy drinks at our family brunches. Today, I’m sharing a comprehensive list of my most popular brunch recipes. I hope this will be a handy resource for you next time you need to plan a brunch menu!
If you only decide to make one recipe from this list, let it be my buttery, flaky homemade biscuits. They are a staple in our home, and they’re so versatile! Serve them savory-style with a healthy dousing of sausage gravy, or keep them sweet with a dab of honey butter, jam, or chocolate gravy.
1. Biscuits
These biscuits are one of my most popular recipes on the blog! I also have a sourdough biscuit version that works nicely for brunch.
2. French Toast Casserole
Perfect for prepping in advance, this casserole can be made the night before and baked the next morning.
3. Scrambled Eggs
A must-have brunch recipe! My scrambled eggs have a secret ingredient for the best flavor and texture.
4. Monkey Bread
Monkey bread is one of my favorite brunch recipes! My version is made from-scratch without any yeast.
5. Donuts
These classic yeast donuts taste better than your local donut shop! I have several other versions as well: baked donuts, Boston cream, apple cider donuts, pumpkin donuts, chocolate donuts and sour cream donuts. Or, try my donut holes or apple fritters!
6. Coffee Cake
I have so many versions of coffee cake, all of which make perfect brunch recipes: blueberry coffee cake, banana coffee cake, pumpkin coffee cake, birthday coffee cake, and sour cream coffee cake. Or, you can make my coffee cake muffins or coffee cake cookies!
7. Sausage Gravy
This gravy is the absolute *best* pairing for my homemade biscuits (listed above), but it also tastes amazing over scrambled eggs too! It’s one of my most beloved brunch recipes.
8. Sticky Buns
With a gooey pecan glaze, these classic sticky buns are irresistible. They bake upside down and flip over just before serving.
9. Pancakes
A classic! I have several other flavors including blueberry pancakes, banana pancakes, chocolate pancakes, whole wheat pancakes, sourdough pancakes (my current favorite!), peanut butter chocolate chip pancakes, and even Fall-festive pumpkin pancakes.
10. Cheese Danish
Skip the line at your local bakery and make your own danish! You can use store-bought puff pastry or make your own homemade puff pastry.
11. Quiche Lorraine
Quiche is always a huge hit at brunch! My quiche lorraine is made with bacon, onion, and plenty of cheese.
12. Orange Rolls
Like cinnamon rolls, but with an orange twist! My recipe is made with real oranges and no artificial flavors. One of my most unique brunch recipes!
13. Homemade Bagels
Making your own bagels is surprisingly simple! These can be customized to whatever flavor you like.
14. Brioche French Toast
Fancy and full of flavor! While I have a classic French toast recipe, too, this is one of my new favorite brunch recipes.
15. English Muffins
Homemade English muffins are SO much better than the store-bought version. I also have sourdough English muffins if you bake with sourdough!
16. Scones
These scones serve as the base for many of my scone recipes including my lemon poppyseed scones, raspberry scones, pumpkin scones, chocolate scones, sourdough scones, chocolate chip scones, snickerdoodle scones, and triple berry scones.
17. Waffles
Waffles are such a fun brunch recipe, and the topping options are truly endless! We love whipped cream, strawberry sauce, and honey butter.
18. Fruit Salad
Customize your fruit salad with whatever you have on hand! I add a simple honey lime “dressing” to mine that really makes it shine.
19. Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole
The perfect savory pairing for all these sweet brunch recipes! My version is made from scratch with frozen hash browns.
20. Crepes
They make look intimidating, but I promise crepes are so simple to make. I also have a recipe for chocolate crepes and a crepe cake!
21. French Toast
This classic version is simple and reliable. Everyone should know how to make it!
22. Overnight Cinnamon Rolls
We love serving these during the holidays, but they also make the perfect brunch recipe! Prep the rolls and let them chill overnight, then bake in the morning!
23. Frozen Peach Bellini
A boozy brunch recipe, this frozen peach bellini is a nice alternative to classic mimosas.
24. Chocolate Babka
A bit of a labor of love, this chocolate babka is well worth the effort! My instructions are easy-to-follow, so anyone can make it!
25. Popovers
Popovers (aka Yorkshire Pudding) can be served sweet or savory. Personally, we like ours with butter and cinnamon sugar!
As you can see, we lean more towards the sweeter breakfast side of brunch as opposed to the savory lunch side. If you are looking for more savory lunch recipes, check out my summer salad recipes (don’t let the name fool you–they are tasty year-round!) or soup recipes.
With so many options to choose from for brunch, I’d love to know which is your favorite! Let me know in the comments.
