Some days I get this nagging, bitter voice in the back of my head that whispers to me: Don’t you think you’ve made enough chocolate chip cookies, already?
It’s a bossy, persistent voice, and I don’t like it very much at all, which is why I’ve taken to doing my best job at defying it by un-apologetically creating more and more varieties of chocolate chip cookies, and now even sharing two in a single week (remember my brown butter chocolate chip cookies from Monday?).
Clearly, I have something of an obsession with chocolate chip cookies.
You’ll want to prepare the fudge filling a little bit in advance so that it has time to fully set before you try wrapping cookie dough around it (some time in the refrigerator helps speed things along nicely), and one of my favorite things about this recipe is that it creates more fudge than you’ll actually need for your cookies, so you’ll have extra squares of fudge left over when you’re finished.
I walk through all of the steps over on Oh, Sweet Basil, so make sure to head over there and check it out!
